Hello Reader,
Recently, a large rally took place in Washington DC called Defeat the Mandates, which was slated to reach nearly twenty thousand protestors. Estimates for the rally varied from between several thousand to tens of thousands (depending on the news source that you are reading). There was lots and lots of coverage from the mainstream media on whether or not 20,000 protestors showed up but there was very little coverage for the spirit of the march.
My point is that most people are interested in the spirit of a movement, in terms of sympathy, because a movement usually represent a person’s values. How many people can make it to Washington DC to participate in a march though they might sympathize with their values? Furthermore, the mainstream media seemed suspiciously committed to labeling people as “the unvaccinated,” and “vaxers,” among many more objectify terms that belittle the individual; this, alongside a back and forth changing of the guard from those in government can make parceling information difficult due to the misinformation involved in research.
The protest is affiliated, through sponsorship/partnership, with Children’s Health Defense, Vaccine Safety Research Foundation, Global COVID Summit, World Council for Health, the International Alliance of Physicians and Medical scientists, and the Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance. Here’s the link. Did you know those people were involved in protests against “mask mandates”? The people involved in a protest usually represent the spirit of a movement which can overpower a notion of size in terms of values. Now you know a little more about protests taking place in the world if the information suits you, O reader.
